If you're looking for a mushy and sweet pit bull with an adorably large head, Donnie is your boy! He is 4 years old and weighs a solid 70 pounds. Donnie is the perfect balance of fun and mellow. He likes to be active and go on hikes and long walks, but he also loves cuddling and rolling over for belly rubs (and giving the best kisses). Donnie is good with other dogs and has a kind and gentle spirit. He will bring a lot of joy to his future forever family. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

A note from Donnie’s foster: "I had the privilege of having Donnie as a guest in my home for a couple of nights on Christmas and New Years. He was a complete delight! First of all, he was perfect in the car. He jumped right in, settled down immediately in the back seat, and napped most of the drive. At home, he was calm and quiet, but also ultra-snuggly and delicious. Mostly, he just seemed so appreciative to be there! He was able to be crated (I didn’t leave him in the crate for more than two hours at any point, but I believe he would have been fine if I had), and he didn’t have any accidents in the house. He did his business in the back yard and came back in immediately when called. I have another dog and two cats. I believe that introductions should be gradual, so I didn’t allow him to be free with my dog these times. Perhaps down the road. They met when my dog was in her crate and Donnie was walking free. He approached her with a polite greeting and a wagging tail, but was then able to walk away and go to the next room and relax. I didn’t allow him to even see the cats, but he was able to smell them and hear them. He showed absolutely no interest. There was no fixating and no anxiousness towards either the dog or the cats. He was just relaxed and easy. At first, he didn’t seem to recognize that he was allowed on my bed. I had to lift him up, and he seemed a bit frightened. Pretty soon, though, he was jumping up on his own and didn’t ever want to leave! He slept curled up right alongside me, and (after a lot of kisses) stayed perfectly still all night. I actually had to wake HIM up, not the other way around! And waking up with him on Christmas morning was an amazing gift! Donnie is so ready to be somebody’s cherished best friend. I envy the person lucky enough to have him!"
