October marks the first full month of Fall, bringing us cooler weather and one of our favorite holidays - “Barktoberfest”! Barktoberfest is our version of the ever popular Oktoberfest, since we never like to leave out our four-legged friends from the fun. In honor of this special celebration, we are sharing our favorite dog-friendly breweries in Los Angeles for you to enjoy a pint with the company of your pup.
Angel City Brewery (Downtown Los Angeles)
Located in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles, this brewery has a wide open space - both outside and inside - for your pup to explore. Angel City has weekly events that are always dog-friendly, and their parking lot has a line of food trucks if you fancy a snack during your visit. On October 28th, they are hosting “Howl-o-ween,” an event specifically for your furry friends! This event will include a costume contest for your pup and there will be various pet vendors and activities that your pup won’t want to miss! Check out this brewery on any given day and you’re bound to have a barking good time enjoying LA craft beers and quality time with your best friend.
Monkish Brewing Co. (Torrance)
This brewery just celebrated their five year anniversary offering Belgian brews and a dog-friendly space. While they love dogs, they do have a brewery cat, so keep that in mind if your pup isn’t feline friendly. This brewery and tasting room is smaller than Angel City Brewery, but offers a fun atmosphere and and great tasting beers. There are food trucks at the brewery on certain dates, and you can always check their calendar beforehand to see which trucks will be there on the day of your visit.
Boomtown Brewery (Los Angeles Arts District)
This brewery gives you the option to enjoy your brew indoors or outdoors with the company of your pup. Each label on their craft beers is designed by artists in Los Angeles, and the entire brewery promotes local artists and creative minds. They have a taproom and venue space where they host various events such as gallery showings, benefits, and live music.
Pub at Golden Road Brewing (Atwater Village, Glendale)
This brewery can accommodate the whole family - and yes, that includes your furry friend. The beer menu is comprised of their core beers that are included year-round, as well as a specialty/seasonal menu that is constantly changing. They offer a large food menu including brunch, late night bites, and a lunch menu with vegan (and non-vegan) options. Free brewery tours are offered Friday through Sunday at select times, and they even provide house made dog biscuits! If you’re not up for a beer, they also offer cider and wine - and water bowls for your pup, of course!
We hope this list of dog-friendly breweries inspires you to get out and have a fun-filled Barktoberfest with your best pal!
