From Parvo to Pampered!

Remember, Parvo Peter and the Brady Bunch litter?  Peter was a very petite terrier mix puppy who weighed 1lb when he came into our care. Shortly after being in the foster’s home we learned that Peter had a loss of appetite and became very lethargic. It was then that Peter was rushed to our emergency vet. After arriving, Peter tested positive and started receiving the antibiotics, fluid and 24 hour care that he needed. Here is the link to their GoFundMe if you need a refresher!

After learning that Peter was positive, we tested his entire litter for Parvo. His sisters Cindy and Alice also tested positive and then received the same 24-hour care that Peter did.

Fast forward 2 months, and the whole Brady Bunch litter have settled into their loving forever homes thanks to the support and donations made by YOU!  In fact, four of them just met up for a play date! Saving these lives really could not be possible if we didn’t have the best volunteers, fosters and supporters!

We checked in with the families and received some of the best updates! Peter’s, now Gunner, family said, “Gunner is living the life. He has two humans that love him very much. We're so happy we have the little guy. It feels like a family now.” And then continued “He's a social, energetic, and intelligent puppy that wins over everyone he comes into contact with. We love that he's always happy.” We couldn’t be more excited for the life that he lives!

We also checked in with Cindy’s parents, where Cindy, now Phoebe, has become the 4th child. They said, “She’s a sweetheart. We all are in love with her.”

When the rest of the litter had their play date they were so happy to be reunited! We love seeing our alumni connect through our Wags and Walks Alumni Facebook Group
