We can all use a little extra love and generosity in our lives, and tomorrow, November 28, is Giving Tuesday! On this day, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving.
Anyone, anywhere in the world can get involved in this holiday by giving back in any way that is meaningful to them. From fundraising to volunteering to pro bono service, Giving Tuesday is a great way to engage with your community and become part of a larger, worldwide movement that promotes generosity.
Following two major consumer holidays, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to giving back rather than purchasing products. This new ritual celebrates the opening day of the season for giving - a reminder of the “reason for the season.”
This year, we are asking our generous donors and supporters to celebrate Giving Tuesday by donating to one of our special needs and medical dogs. Give for Ashley and her three newborn puppies. Give for Smith as he awaits his new prosthetic foot. Give for Humphrey who is recovering from severe neglect. Give for Elizabeth who was found pregnant and wandering the streets. Give for these dogs and the countless others that need a little extra help and support.
Best of all, all donations on Giving Tuesday will be matched up to $10,000 by an anonymous donor! Don't forget to ask your employer if they match donations as well - it’s an easy way to double your contribution and help even more dogs in need.
