Wags & Walks 2018 Recap

What a year it’s been! As we look back on 2018, we are beyond grateful for the staff, volunteers, fosters, adopters and supporters who have helped our mission in every way. Since the inception of Wags and Walks eight years ago, we have grown in ways that we didn’t think imaginable, and we are looking forward to what 2019 will bring us.

Wags & Walks_2018 Recap

In 2018 alone, we’ve saved over 1,100 dogs, grew our staff by 64 percent and added more than 1,000 new volunteers to our team. The annual gala was the most successful one we’ve had to date, raising enough money to save 1,122 dogs – in just one night!

The Adoption Center, which opened last year, has enabled us to create new programming like humane education programs for kids, training workshops for adopters and volunteers, and wellness events for people and pets. We have also been able to expand our partnerships, such as an on-site pop up store with Pussy & Pooch, food donation programs with Haloand Pet Food Express, and partnerships with brands like Max and Neo, Ollieand The Gentle Pit.
