Sangria’s Story

This is Sangria! We met this petite girl at a shelter in a rural community after she had been abandoned. She was missing most of her hair as a result of having a skin infection called Demodex mange. It was obvious that she had recently had a litter of puppies, though they weren’t surrendered. Despite being timid in the shelter setting, she was such a sweet and loving pup.

Once she was in her foster home, Sangria quickly began to show off her personality and make herself at home. She found comfort in her foster siblings, could entertain herself all day with stuffy toys and was very fond of exploring the backyard. She received treatment to heal her skin and her fur began to grow back. With quality vet care and the love and support from her fosters, this special girl was feeling back to herself in no time!

While lounging on a dog-friendly patio with her fosters, she happened to meet a loving family who instantly fell in love. They submitted an application to adopt and it was undeniably the perfect match. This sweet girl is finally in a home where she’s getting all the love she’s always deserved and we couldn’t be more happy for her! Thanks to her fosters, adopters, and our partners, @spotandtango, Sangria was able to get her second chance.
