Gunner

Meet Gunner! Gunner is a 5-month-old, 33lb puppy with a tender heart and a whole lot of feelings. He and his siblings came from a situation where they weren’t given the socialization or stability young dogs need, but this sweet boy has already started to open up with the help of our team. Right now, Gunner is a shy, sensitive soul who’s still learning that the world, and new people, can be safe. In his kennel, he can get nervous, especially when his brother leaves without him, and he may bark or pace out of fear. But once he’s out of the loud, overwhelming environment and in the yard, that’s when you see the real Gunner peek through. He stays close, seeks comfort, and leans his whole little body into you like you’re the anchor he’s been searching for. He’ll hop his front paws into your lap, look up with those soft eyes, and you can tell hes a sweet boy. Gunner walks surprisingly well on leash for a puppy with his background, and with slow introductions and gentle handling, he settles. He may get startled easily, and he’ll need a calm home with someone who understands that confidence-building takes time, reassurance, and lots of love.
