This 9-month-old, 60-lb Doberman mix is a goofy, lovable guy. A few months after coming into our care, Bolognese started experiencing seizures. While the root cause of his seizures can’t be determined without advanced imaging, they are managed with daily medication, and he is an otherwise happy and healthy boy! All he needs is a family who will love and support him for who he is. He is an affectionate pup who loves to make new friends, give kisses, and stick close to his people. This playful, goofy guy is friendly with both people and other pups. He enjoys sunbathing and is a very good boy when visiting restaurants and cafes with his foster family. This smart guy also loves enrichment and puppy puzzle activities that keep him engaged and entertained. Bolognese is working on perfecting his puppy basics and is food-motivated and eager to learn more. He is such a smart boy and already walks beautifully on a leash with a little structure. This 4-year-old, 9-lb Chihuahua mix is sweet, silly, and searching for her family! We rescued Chive from an overcrowded LA city shelter, where she arrived with a treatable skin condition called demodex. She is already improving with care, and this is not expected to be a long-term concern. Chive loves people and has the cutest little spinny zoomies when she gets excited. She’s a social girl who coexists well with other pups! Her favorite hobbies are sunbathing, being held by her humans, and going for a leisurely stroll. This 4-year-old, 71-lb mixed breed guy is as loyal and loving as they come. Duke was surrendered to us as a puppy, and it’s been a joy to watch him grow into the sweet, spirited dog he is today. With the structure and care provided by his incredible long-term foster, Duke has truly thrived, and after being in our care for over two years, he is more than ready to be settled in a loving forever home. He is the sweetest, mellowest boy who is easy to fall in love with! Bodhi was surrendered to us by his previous owners, who were moving out of the country and, due to circumstances out of their control, could not take him with them. He has some severe skin allergies that will require long-term treatment, and is very tolerant and easy-going when taking his medications. He is an incredibly lovable, friendly guy who gets along with every person he meets. His foster reports that Bodhi is the first dog they’ve cared for who actively watches TV! This polite boy will ask to join them by resting his head on the couch or bed and waiting for permission. He is a quick learner who is fully potty-trained, does well in his crate, and is working on his leash manners. He knows several commands, including “sit” and “wait”. This good boy even loves to eat his fruits and vegetables! His previous owners reported that he is great with both kids and other dogs. This 1-year-old, 55-lb Doberman is a playful ball of energy. Cher and her siblings were found as strays on the streets of Bakersfield, CA. They were covered in Demodex mange, a debilitating skin infection, and extremely malnourished. When they arrived at the shelter, they were scheduled to be euthanized. We got to them just before their deadline. Thankfully, they received the care they needed, and her siblings have already been adopted. Now, it’s Cher’s turn. This fun, affectionate girl loves to play and gets along with other dogs. She is a ball of youthful energy and enjoys sniffing around on walks and getting her wiggles out in the yard. This 10-year-old, 21-lb mixed-breed guy is a gentle, mellow senior who just wants to be comfortable and loved. Loafer was found as a stray and brought to the shelter, where he kept to himself and lived up to his name, quietly sitting or standing like a little loaf. Once in our care, we discovered he was dealing with discomfort due to an infection, which has since been resolved thanks to our medical team, and a low-grade, stable collapsing trachea that he is on daily medication for, which is a common, treatable condition for senior dogs. Loafer has blossomed in his foster home and is truly starting to show us what a sweet, affectionate old man he is. He loves meeting new people and will happily mosey over to new friends for pets. According to his foster, he is very popular on his neighborhood strolls, stopping to say hi to human friends all along his route. This mellow, laid-back guy prefers a calm, relaxed environment where he can coexist peacefully with his people and also gets along well with other calm dogs. He is fully potty-trained, loves his daily walks, and is wonderful on a leash, happily strolling alongside his foster at his own senior pace.
