Want to Get Involved?

We’re always in need of loving, passionate supporters to help save more dogs. Our Volunteers are essential members of our team. Whatever your interests or skill set, we have a volunteer opportunity for you!

Please note: Volunteer opportunities are only available to those 18 years and older.

Some of the ways you can support dogs in need

18 and up

  • This is a special opportunity that allows you to come to our Adoption Center and directly engage with the dogs in our care. Shifts available 7 days a week, minus select holidays.

  • Our Adoption Events, Private Puppy Parties, Partnership events, and ticketed activities all give volunteers the chance to advocate for our pups and help spread our mission through the community.

  • Support at our Front Desk with check-ins for adoptions, merch sales, organizing, and more!

  • Support our Medical Team on surgery days, Vaccine Clinic Days, Intake days, and more!

  • This can look different everyday! This can include prepping foster supplies, general cleaning, merch inventory support, laundry support, and more.

21 and up

  • Support fundraising and development by organizing peer-to-peer fundraisers and leveraging their networks to increase awareness and support. They can also assist with grant research, donor outreach, and promoting fundraising campaigns in our community. All development volunteers must be at least 21 years old.

  • Help our team transport our dogs to and from appointments, vet visits, or one-off shelter pickups. All transport volunteers must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

  • You will help greet adopters, guide them through the adoption process, and help make sure everyone finds their perfect match.

Wags Club!

A special volunteer opportunity that allows you to spend meaningful, hands-on time with the dogs at our Adoption Center.

As a Wags Club volunteer, you may help with:

  • Dog Outs: Take dogs out for walks to provide exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation.

  • Cleaning & Organization: Help keep our dogs’ living spaces clean and comfortable, including cleaning kennels, assisting with laundry, and tidying and organizing the animal care areas.

  • Animal Care Support: Work alongside our Animal Care Team to support the daily care and well-being of the dogs.

  • Training, Enrichment & Baths: Assist with basic training, enrichment activities, and occasional baths to help prepare our pups for their future adopters.
