Meet Morel, a 1-year-old, 39lb Lab mix with a gentle heart and a quiet sweetness that truly shines once she feels safe. Morel can be timid when first meeting new people or experiencing new environments, but with patience, consistency, and love, she slowly blossoms into the sweetest companion. Each day in her foster home, she’s gaining confidence and showing just how special she is. Morel came into our care as a devoted mama, found as a stray while caring for her puppies. She was an incredible mom to her babies, and now that they’re growing up, it’s finally her turn to be cared for. She’s learning what it means to live in a home and is making great progress with both potty training and crate training. She would do best with adopters who understand that some dogs just need a little extra time to feel safe and loved and settle in. Morel is heartworm-positive and is currently undergoing treatment. This treatment is covered by W&W, and Morel is expected to make a full recovery. Morel is ready to leave her mama days behind and find a forever home where she can relax, be cherished, and finally put herself first.
