This 1-year-old, 81-pound Poodle/Great Pyrenees mix has a gentle soul and a resilient spirit. Bucky was found abandoned in a junkyard, unable to care for himself, born without one front paw and with only a small nub for the other leg. We tried several mobility devices before it became clear that this independent boy is perfectly happy getting around all on his own. Despite everything he’s been through, Bucky is sweet, loving, and incredibly strong. He enjoys cozy beds, giving hugs, and the safety of a quiet, predictable routine. Since coming into our care, Bucky’s confidence has grown tremendously, as has his quality of life. This eager-to-please guy graduated from a training program @whittierdogclub where he practiced his basics so he can thrive in his forever home. He’ll do best in a patient, low-traffic home that can provide him with comfort, care, and encouragement as he adjusts to life in a home.
