Apricot
Meet Apricot! This 2-year-old, 45lb mixed breed girl has spent the last few months being the best mama her puppies could have asked for. Now that they're old enough to find families of their own, it's finally Apricot's turn to be spoiled. Her foster describes her as one of the sweetest dogs they've ever met, and says she instantly became part of the family. She's incredibly affectionate and happiest curled up in your lap (yes, all 45 pounds of her!), soaking up every bit of love and attention she can get. She's also very food motivated, eager to please, and incredibly smart! She's already learned cues like sit, paw, wait, and is making great progress with "place." This medium-energy girl absolutely loves other dogs and thrives with playful canine companions. She's fully potty trained and has settled beautifully into home life with structure and routine. Apricot is still learning boundaries around being left alone and is continuing to build positive crate skills. She can also be a bit of a counter surfer if given too much freedom, so she'll do best with adopters who can provide consistency, supervision, and continued training. She has shown playful interest in cats and may do best in a home without feline friends or with adopters committed to slow introductions and management. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate companion who will make you laugh, keep you company, and love you with her whole heart, Apricot is ready to start the next chapter of her life!
