Baxter is a 6-year-old, 7lb Chihuahua mix with a sweet, social personality and a huge love for being close to his people. He is both potty and crate trained, easy to handle, and goes in and out of his kennel without issue. Baxter is truly a lap dog at heart: his favorite activity is watching (or sleeping through) TV on the couch while curled up with his favorite human. He prefers to be with someone at all times, whether that means being held, snuggled up next to you, or following you from room to room. Baxter has been kind and friendly with every person, dog, and cat he has met, greeting others with a loose body and happy tail wags, and he would enjoy having canine companions in his home. He isn’t a fan of the cold and prefers to stay inside when temperatures drop, but when the weather is nice, he enjoys a leisurely stroll. Baxter is currently heartworm positive, but his treatment will be fully covered by Wags and he is expected to make a full recovery. With his gentle, affectionate nature and devotion to his people, Baxter is ready to settle into a loving forever home.
