Belvedere
Meet Belvedere! This 1-year-old, 70lb Akita mix is a sweet, silly boy with a big heart, a love for toys, and plenty of affection to share. Belvedere loves the people he meets and enjoys playing with other dogs, making him a great mix of playful companion and cuddly best friend. He has a moderate energy level and knows how to settle in for a good nap once his needs are met! Belvedere is potty trained, sleeps soundly in his crate overnight, and is comfortable spending time in his crate during the day. He knows how to sit and patiently wait for his release before meals, coming out of his crate, and heading outside. His recall is excellent, and he’s a quick learner who’s eager to please, especially when treats, toys, or affection are involved. He’s still polishing up his leash manners, but he’s off to a great start! With other dogs, Belvedere has an energetic but not overly physical play style and could enjoy a canine sibling who likes to play, too. He’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as an only dog! Once he’s had enough activity, he’s content to entertain himself with a ball in a fenced yard or a bone inside. Belvedere adores people, but because of his size and strength, he’d be best suited to a home with children 10 and older. More than anything, Belvedere is looking for a family ready to keep building on his great foundation with continued training, playtime, and lots of affection. He’s already a pretty wonderful companion, and he can’t wait to meet the people who will help him keep growing into his best self!
