Meet Stephen! This 7-month-old, 28lb mixed breed puppy is an absolute gem with a fun-loving personality, tons of charm, and a strong foundation already in place for success. Stephen is smart, eager to learn, and picks up on training incredibly quickly. He’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and has proven to be a wonderful, adaptable puppy in foster care! Stephen has that perfect puppy balance: playful, energetic, and always ready for fun, while also being affectionate and happy to settle down for cuddles once he’s gotten his energy out. He loves playing with other dogs, enjoys being active, and has done wonderfully with kids, making him a great fit for a variety of households. Stephen can be a little unsure when meeting new people at first and does have some “stranger danger,” sometimes barking initially when he’s uncertain. However, with a little patience and some treats, he warms up quickly and becomes friendly in no time. He continues making excellent progress with positive exposure and confidence-building experiences. He’s also growing like a weed and settling beautifully into home life. Stephen walks well on leash overall, though when he gets extra excited, he may try to initiate a little tug-of-war game with the leash.
