Bluey
Meet Bluey! This 4-year-old, 49lb mixed breed boy is a sweet, affectionate companion with a gentle heart and a strong love for his people. Bluey is incredibly cuddly and happiest when he’s close by, soaking up attention and settling in for cozy snuggle time once he’s had a chance to get his energy out. Bluey is a smart, treat-motivated boy who enjoys training and is very engaged with his environment. He loves the backyard, enjoys stuffed toys, and is always excited for car rides and time with his people. After playtime, he settles in nicely and shows his affectionate, calm side. He does best with structure and consistency, especially as he continues working through leash reactivity and overstimulation in high-energy environments. Bluey can become reactive to fast movement and excitement (such as bikes, scooters, running children, and similar triggers), and will need an experienced, committed adopter willing to continue training and management strategies. Because of this, a home with older children or adults only will likely be the best fit. Bluey is potty trained and does well in his crate, and he’s happiest when given clear routine and guidance. He loves toys, though he should be supervised as he may grab items left within reach. With continued training, patience, and the right structure in place, Bluey has all the potential to make an incredibly loyal, loving, and rewarding companion!
