Brighton may be a bit nervous in new environments at first, but he quickly shows what a loving and people-oriented companion he truly is. Once he feels comfortable, he’s happiest curled up close to his humans, climbing into laps for cuddles, and soaking up all the pets and affection he can get. Brighton has a calm, easygoing demeanor overall and is content simply hanging out beside you and enjoying your company. He walks nicely on leash, exits and enters his kennel easily, and has shown himself to be a pretty chill little dude once settled. While Brighton absolutely adores people, he can be more sensitive around other dogs, especially through barriers like fences. Because of this, he’ll likely do best with thoughtful management and slow introductions around other dogs while he continues building confidence and learning appropriate interactions.
