Meet Cheerio! This 6-year-old, 14lb Chihuahua mix is a sweet, spunky little guy who is learning all about the good life after coming from a hoarding situation. While he can still be a little unsure at times, it doesn’t hold him back, Cheerio is a happy, loving boy who has truly blossomed in foster care and is showing more confidence every day. Once he feels comfortable, Cheerio is an absolute mush. He loves his people deeply and shows it with constant kisses, cuddles, and a desire to simply be near you. He wants to be part of a home and included in daily life, happily following his humans around and soaking up affection whenever he can get it. Cheerio enjoys a nice balance of play and relaxation. He loves bones, stuffed toys, and even a good game of tug, but he also knows how to settle in and relax after some fun. He gets excited in the sweetest ways and has a playful spirit that really shines through once he feels safe. He does wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys their company, and he continues to adjust beautifully in a home environment. He is doing well with crate training, sleeping soundly at night and resting there during the day, and he is very close to being fully potty trained. At his core, Cheerio is a loving, affectionate, goofy little companion who just wants to be close to his people and give them his whole heart!
