Meet Cherry, a 3-year-old, 43lb Shepherd mix who is truly something special. This incredible girl has the sweetest heart and so much love to give, she just needs a little time to show you. Cherry can be a bit nervous when meeting new people or exploring new environments, but she’s been working hard on building her confidence. With patience and reassurance, she begins to relax, and once she does, her affectionate, brilliant personality shines. She is potty trained, sleeps well in her crate, and has been making great progress when left alone. While she has experienced some anxiety in the past, she responds very well to structure and crate training. Since getting a larger crate and consistent guidance, she’s been doing wonderfully and continues to improve her ability to self-soothe. Cherry has done great with other dogs when given thoughtful, structured introductions and is respectful around kids. With a medium energy level, she enjoys activity but also appreciates downtime with her humans. Cherry will thrive with adopters who understand that confidence takes time and are excited to help her continue blossoming.
