Meet Clementine! This 2-year-old, 55lb Hound mix is a sweet, affectionate girl who is ready for a chapter that’s all about her. After spending time raising her puppies, Clementine is finally getting to enjoy being a dog herself, and she's loving it! Clementine is a happy, social girl who loves attention and happily leans into her people for pets. She's also playful and has the typical energy of a young dog, especially when she's outside! Clementine absolutely loves being outdoors and would be a great match for someone who enjoys going on adventures outside with their dog. She's wonderful with other dogs and loves playing with her canine friends, and she's great with kids, too. She's also been calm and friendly around cats she's met! Like any true Hound, Clementine loves following her nose and exploring, so her adopter will need to be mindful of her surroundings. She's an impressive little escape artist and has figured out how to get out of a fenced yard, so she'll need a very secure setup, supervision, and ideally a long line or other safe management when she's outside. The good news is that she walks well on leash! Clementine is doing well with her house manners and is most likely to go potty in the yard rather than on walks. She's continuing to work on being comfortable when separated from her people. She may howl when left alone, so she'll need a family who can continue working patiently on alone-time skills and separation training with her crate.
