Meet Cornbread, a 4-year-old, 48lb Bulldog who came into our care as part of the animal cruelty case in Cheatham County. Cornbread is a very sweet girl who has already started coming out of her shell since arriving. She’s easy to handle, does well getting in and out of her kennel, and walks nicely on leash. She can be a little shy at first and benefits from having people give her a little extra time and guidance. Cornbread absolutely loves attention and is happiest when she’s getting pets, cuddles, or treats. She’s also incredibly tolerant and gentle when being handled, including being picked up and getting a bath. She seems to have some difficulty seeing and will likely need an entropion surgery to help correct this, and all costs for the procedure will be covered by Wags & Walks. After being overbred, Cornbread is finally getting the chance to be cared for as a dog, rather than a breeding dog. She’s a gentle, affectionate girl who deserves a comfortable home where she can take things at her own pace and be spoiled a little.
