Meet Dede! This 1-year-old, 35lb Boxer mix is a sweet, playful girl who is learning all about the comforts of home life. With her expressive personality and loving nature, Dede is the kind of dog who quickly becomes your little shadow, always wanting to know where you are and be close by. Dede has been making great progress in her foster home. She’s now sleeping through the night with minimal wake-ups and is close to being fully potty trained, with no recent accidents in the house. She’s also improving with her crate training, while she may whine briefly when first left alone, she’s learning to settle and has started calmly waiting to be let out. She’ll often choose to go into her crate on her own to nap or chew on a toy. Dede does well with other dogs and enjoys their company. On walks, she can get a bit excited when she sees other dogs and is still working on her leash manners, but she’s responsive and eager to learn with guidance. She can also be a bit curious and mischievous, so keeping an eye on food and household items is helpful! With continued structure, patience, and love, Dede will blossom into a wonderful, loyal companion!
