Meet Delilah! This 4-year-old, 73lb Shepherd mix is an intelligent and well-mannered girl who has already impressed everyone she’s met in foster care. Delilah has an easygoing personality and carries herself with a confidence that makes her an absolute joy to be around. Her foster describes her as an “amazing dog” who fits naturally into home life. Delilah walks beautifully on leash and follows her person attentively on walks and outings. She also rides wonderfully in the car and has been friendly and accepting of new people she meets. Around other dogs and cats, Delilah has remained calm, neutral, and largely uninterested, preferring to focus on her humans and do her own thing. In the home, Delilah has shown excellent manners overall. She’s currently working through some crate and separation anxiety and feels most comfortable when near her people, but she is already making progress with short, positive crate sessions and routine. With her calm nature, intelligence, and loving personality, Delilah is truly a special dog ready to become someone’s best friend!
