Goldie has spent a lot of her young life waiting for this moment. This 1-year-old, 43lb Pittie mix and her friend Red were surrendered to the shelter about five months ago, where they remained on a cruelty case hold while the court process dragged on. They were finally released this month, and now they’re getting their chance to move forward. Through all that time, Goldie has continued to be the same sweet, playful girl we’ve come to know. She’s affectionate, dog-friendly, and always ready to have some fun. And if there’s a toy around, she’s especially happy. Goldie is now ready for the part of her story where she gets to simply be a pup, have a home, and finally experience all the good things she’s been waiting for. Goldie and Red can still enjoy playdates together, but each of them deserves a family and a future of their own. Five months was already far too long to wait. We’re ready to see Goldie finally get her turn!
