Meet Hattie! This 1.5-year-old, 30lb mixed-breed dynamo is a smart, playful girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for fetch. Ball is life for Hattie, and she'll happily sprint around the yard chasing it all day long and bringing it right back! Hattie has really come out of her shell in foster care and is showing more of her sweet, goofy personality every day. She's incredibly affectionate with her people and loves having a job to do, whether that's playing fetch, working on training, or staying busy with enrichment. She's food motivated, takes treats gently, and is continuing to build her skills. She's also making great progress with her leash manners. Hattie is a natural herder with an active, playful personality, so she'd thrive with a family who can give her plenty of exercise, structure, and opportunities to stay busy. A fenced-in yard would be ideal for her, especially since she could happily spend hours playing fetch! She's also done wonderfully with kids 5 and older and loves people in general! Hattie does best with thoughtful introductions to other dogs and is most comfortable with medium-sized dogs. She can be insecure around larger dogs who are too physical or overwhelming, while calm dogs are a much better match. She may also be interested in chasing or correcting very small, yappy dogs, so a home without very small dogs would likely be best. She has shown that she can coexist with cats, especially a calm, confident cat who won't encourage a chase! Hattie is now doing great in her crate and settles quietly. She's potty trained, loves her ball, and is ready for an active family who will keep her busy, engaged, and having fun. Give this girl a yard, a ball, and a person to call her own, and Hattie is going to be one happy pup!
