Meet Iris! This 2-year-old, 55lb mixed breed girl is finally ready to start her own chapter. After lovingly raising her litter of puppies, Iris is ready for a forever home where she can soak up all the love and attention herself! Since separating from her puppies, Iris has really started to blossom. She is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people, and she thrives on routine. She gets excited for her morning sniff walks, knows when it’s time to head out for the kids’ school drop-off, and loves tagging along wherever her people are going. She’s the best copilot on car rides! Iris has a wonderful balance of energy and is typically lower energy overall. She enjoys walks and playing, but is just as happy settling in for a cozy nap afterward. She’s doing wonderfully with her foster’s resident dog and would likely enjoy having a canine sibling, though she could also thrive as a spoiled solo pup. She’s excellent with other dogs and children and has been a great houseguest! Iris is fully potty trained and continues to do well with her house routine. She’s still working on one adorable quirk: when she gets really excited, she can get a little nibbly, doing what her foster calls her “chompy stompies.” She responds quickly to redirection and is learning to keep her excitement gentle! Iris is a happy, loving girl who has spent so much of her young life caring for everyone else. Now, it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby!
