Meet Jeff! This 8.5-year-old, 12lb Chihuahua mix may be tiny, but he comes with a huge personality and an absolutely unforgettable underbite! After being rescued from a severe hoarding situation, Jeff is discovering what it means to live in a safe, loving home, and he's making so much progress. Jeff is a playful, funny little guy who loves toys, zoomies, and spending time with other dogs. He gets along wonderfully with the dogs in his foster home and is happiest when he has a canine friend around, so we'd love to see him in a home with another friendly pup. Having a doggy companion seems to really bring out his confidence and playful side! He's also becoming more comfortable with people and his surroundings every day. Jeff walks nicely on a loose leash and has gained so much confidence, which is a huge improvement! He's even started initiating play with his foster, running up and playfully juking them in the yard! Jeff can be hesitant when someone reaches out to pet him or tries to pick him up, especially if he feels like he's being cornered or boxed into a tight space. Giving him room to approach on his own terms and using a leash while he's getting to know someone will help him continue building trust. Deep down he's the friendliest little guy. Jeff settles nicely in his crate, sleeps through the night, and continues making progress with potty training with a consistent routine and regular outdoor breaks. He's come such a long way already, and we can't wait to see him continue blossoming in a loving forever home!
