Jodie
Meet Jodie! This 1-year-old, 21lb mixed breed girl is a sweet, sensitive soul who has blossomed beautifully in foster care. While she can be a little nervous when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, once she feels safe, Jodie's loving personality shines through. Jodie is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with her people. She tends to choose a favorite person and loves being close to them, offering quiet companionship, gentle affection, and plenty of loyalty. Though she may be shy initially, with a little patience and understanding she quickly reveals just how sweet and loving she truly is. One area where Jodie has made tremendous progress is confidence. Her foster reports that she has adjusted wonderfully and continues becoming more comfortable with everyday life. She's fantastic on leash, enjoys walks, and has shown that she's capable of adapting and growing when given support and consistency. Jodie also does wonderfully with other dogs. She's respectful, social, and enjoys playing with her canine companions. Having other dogs around has helped boost her confidence, though she could also do well as a solo dog in a quieter home environment. Jodie has made significant strides with crate training and now does well with her routine. She settles comfortably at night and continues building confidence with time and structure. While she has lived with a young child and has been tolerant, Jodie would likely be happiest in a home without very young children where she can enjoy a calmer environment. At her core, Jodie is a gentle, affectionate girl who is ready to find a patient family willing to give her the love and understanding she deserves!
