Meet Katrina! Katrina is a 2-year-old, 75lb mixed-breed girl with a big heart, a bright mind, and lots of love to give. This sweet pup is eager to connect with her people and is always looking to her handler for guidance, making her a wonderful candidate for continued training and learning. Katrina is still getting the hang of leash walking and can start off a little enthusiastic, pulling at first as she works to burn off some energy. The good news is that she’s very responsive and wants to please: she slows down as the walk goes on, especially when she has time to sniff and explore her surroundings. With a little practice and consistency, she’s sure to keep improving. She’s also incredibly treat motivated and seems to enjoy working for her food, often checking in with her handler for direction. Katrina has done well interacting with a variety of other dogs and appears social and friendly with canine companions. She can be a bit anxious in her kennel at the Adoption Center, but that’s not unusual for a young, active dog in a busy environment, and she’ll likely feel much more relaxed once she’s settled into a home.
