Meet Kay! This 2.5-year-old, 50lb mixed-breed girl is a smart, affectionate pup with a sweet personality and so much potential. Kay is incredibly intelligent, food motivated, and eager to learn, already knowing sit, down, stay, come, paw, and bed. She loves having a job to do and is always ready to show off what she knows! Kay has made so much progress in foster care and has really blossomed with time and consistency. She is incredibly loyal to her person and loves nothing more than following her foster around the house, curling up for cuddles, and soaking up attention. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and becomes her sweet, affectionate self. And when she’s happy, her adorable helicopter tail makes an appearance! Kay is a medium-energy girl who enjoys going outside and especially loves going for walks a couple of times a day. Her crate routine has also come a long way. Kay sleeps in her crate overnight, eats her meals there, and uses it when her foster leaves. She can still whine a little when left alone on some days, but she ultimately settles and her foster consistently comes home to find her napping. When her person is home, she settles easily in her crate for periods throughout the day! Kay is potty trained and continues to make great progress with her confidence and routine. She’s a loyal, loving girl who has come so far and will thrive with a patient family ready to keep helping her discover just how fun being a dog can be!
