Despite her size, she is an incredibly soft, loving girl who truly just wants to be close to her people. She adores attention and has the cutest habit of sitting right in front of you and leaning in for pets, soaking up every scratch and cuddle she can get, especially belly rubs. Sometimes she’ll roll onto her back and wiggle with happiness, and when she’s really content she makes the most adorable little purring sound. Kumquat is social and friendly with everyone she meets and has done wonderfully with other dogs, happily offering playful bows and enjoying positive, easygoing interactions, making her a great candidate for a home with a canine sibling or regular dog friends. She is playful and fun while still being gentle and mellow, striking a lovely balance between spunky and relaxed. Kumquat is potty trained and crate trained, settles well in her kennel, and shows she’s capable of relaxing and winding down when it’s time to rest. She loves car rides and is always happy to tag along for an adventure. Outside, she enjoys exploring at her own pace, sniffing around and taking in all the new sights and smells. On leash, she can pull a bit and doesn’t always realize just how strong she is, but she is food-motivated and eager to learn, so with consistent guidance she’ll continue to improve.
