Meet Liz! This beautiful 5-year-old, 56lb German Shorthaired Pointer is a gentle, sweet girl who is ready for a fresh start. Liz was surrendered to us with her sister, after their owner was moving, and she’s now looking for a loving family of her own. Liz can be nervous when she first meets new people or finds herself in an unfamiliar environment, but once she feels more comfortable, her sweet personality comes through. On her walks, she takes things at a relaxed pace, stopping often to sniff and explore. Once she’s had time to settle, Liz becomes much more confident. She enjoys getting pets and has even been known to lean right against her person’s legs for affection. According to her previous owner, Liz is housebroken, good with kids, and gets along well with other dogs. She’s currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, which is fully covered by the 15/10 Foundation, and she is expected to make a full recovery.
