Meet Maple! This 2-year-old, 19lb Beagle is a happy, affectionate girl with a nose that never quits (in true hound fashion). Her favorite things include following an exciting scent on a walk, basking in the sunshine, and curling up beside her favorite people after a day of adventures. Like any true Beagle, Maple loves to explore the world one sniff at a time. Walks are her favorite part of the day, and she's always happy to head outside to investigate every interesting smell she can find. She also enjoys spending time with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion who can keep her company, help burn off energy, and join her in backyard adventures. She's also lived successfully with cats and has shown friendly, playful interest in them!
Maple is fully potty trained, sleeps soundly through the night in her crate, and does well with a predictable routine. She enjoys cozy blankets, loves to burrow in for naps, and has become comfortable spending time in her crate with consistency. She can become vocal sometimes when left alone and forms strong bonds with her people, so she'll do best with adopters who are committed to helping her continue building confidence during alone time (though we are told she is soothed by smooth jazz playing).
