Mellie
Meet Mellie, a 3.5-year-old, 42lb mixed-breed girl with a gentle heart, a happy spirit, and the sweetest little quirks. This medium-energy sweetheart is always wagging her tail and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Mellie has an adorable habit of burying her face deep into blankets or pillows until she gets too warm, and she sleeps belly-up, completely relaxed and content. When she wants attention, she’ll politely and persistently tap you with the softest paw to ask for more pets. Mellie is potty trained, does well with other dogs, and settles beautifully in her crate when you’re home or at night. She’s still building confidence with some everyday household sights and sounds, and things that buzz can be a little scary. New environments and experiences can feel overwhelming at first, so she’ll do best with a patient adopter who will help her continue to feel safe and secure. She does experience some anxiety when left alone but responds well to routine and reassurance. With her loving nature, constant tail wags, and sweet personality, Mellie is a joyful companion who will thrive in a calm, understanding home where she can keep blossoming!
