Nan is a 10-year-old, 17lb mixed breed sweetheart with a gentle soul and so much love to give. This very sweet, low-energy senior girl is happiest curled up in a cozy bed, soaking up affection, or quietly following along beside the people and dogs she trusts. Nan truly treasures every bit of love and attention she receives. While Nan can be a bit fearful in new environments or around unfamiliar people, she is making steady progress as she learns to feel safe and secure. She does especially well with another calm, confident dog around and has gained a lot of reassurance from following the resident dog in her foster home. Having a canine companion nearby helps her feel more comfortable and confident navigating the world around her! Nan is also very food motivated, which has been helpful as she continues building confidence and learning new routines. She is currently working on potty training and will need patient adopters committed to helping her continue progressing at her own pace. Despite her shy moments, Nan is incredibly loving once she feels safe. She is also good with kids and would thrive in a calm, understanding home willing to give her the patience, kindness, and reassurance she needs to continue blossoming into the happy, snuggly little dog she’s meant to be!
