Meet Nutmeg! This adorable 1-year-old, 13lb Terrier mix is a little shy at first, but she’s already showing us just how much her confidence can grow with time, patience, and love! Nutmeg is still learning to feel comfortable in her new surroundings and spends much of her time relaxing in her crate, which has become her safe space. But with each passing day, she’s making progress and beginning to let her personality shine. Nutmeg is a wonderful houseguest who sleeps through the night, is potty trained, and doesn’t bark or chew on things around the house. She’s comfortable in her crate and has done well when left alone, making her an easy addition to a home willing to give her the time she needs to settle in. One thing that’s helping Nutmeg come out of her shell is having another dog around! She seems more comfortable around canine friends than people right now and has even started initiating play with her foster’s dog. She’s also discovering her love for squeaky toys and has recently begun venturing out of her crate while her foster is in the room! Nutmeg will need a patient, understanding adopter who will let her blossom at her own pace. With a confident canine companion and a little time, we think this sweet girl’s spunky personality will be well worth waiting for!
