Meet Red, a 1-year-old, 35lb Pittie mix who has spent much of his young life waiting for his chance to move forward. Red was surrendered with Goldie to the shelter about five months ago and remained there while they were part of a cruelty case hold. They were finally released this month, along with several other dogs from the case, and Red is now ready to start the next chapter of his life. Despite spending months in a shelter, Red has continued to show what a sweet, playful, affectionate dog he is. He’s friendly with other dogs and loves getting attention from people. He’s still very much a young dog with plenty of puppy energy, and he’s ready for a home where he can play, explore, learn, and just enjoy being a dog. Red has already spent far too much of his first year waiting.
