Russ
Meet Russ! This 1.5-year-old, 48lb mixed breed is a happy, playful guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. Russ greets you with enthusiasm and affection: he’s a total kiss-giver who loves being part of the action. Russ is very energetic and would thrive in an active home that can keep both his body and mind engaged. He loves chew toys, games of tug, and has even had fun running on a treadmill, going on nature field trips, and exploring downtown. He’ll benefit from a variety of enrichment activities to help channel his energy beyond just walks. He's does well with people of all ages, including kids, and can be friendly with other dogs when given proper structure and boundaries. Continued proactive training will help him build positive habits and confidence. Russ is potty trained and understands the basics of home life. He is working through some separation anxiety and may whine when first settling into his crate, but he goes in willingly for a treat and settles with time and consistency. Russ is a fun, loving pup who just needs structure, guidance, and a dog-savvy adopter to help him thrive!
