Meet Sasha! This 4-year-old, 64lb mixed breed girl is an incredibly affectionate, low-key sweetheart who is ready to leave her past behind and finally be someone's beloved pup. After spending years having litter after litter of puppies, Sasha is ready for a life where she's the one being cared for. If there's one thing Sasha loves most, it's her people. She is constantly asking for affection, whether she's nudging your hand for more pets, resting her head on the couch beside you, or gently pawing at you to remind you she's there. She's happiest simply being close to her humans and would love nothing more than a few walks each day followed by plenty of cuddles and naps! Sasha is wonderful with other dogs and would do well with a canine companion, especially one with a similarly relaxed energy level. She'd also be perfectly happy as your one and only. She's potty trained and does well in her crate, where she settles quietly and sleeps through the night. She may whine briefly when crated during the day, but quickly settles. Sasha can be nervous when approached too quickly, so she'll need a patient family willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. She's done well with calm children who give her space. Sasha is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, which is fully covered by the 15/10 Foundation, and she's expected to make a full recovery!
