Scallywag
Meet Scallywag! This 1-year-old, 58lb Shepherd mix is a spirited, curious boy who is ready to leave his past behind and start fresh. Found in a crate that was far too small for him, Scallywag is now discovering what it means to have space, freedom, and connection. Scallywag is a friendly, social pup who enjoys attention and happily leans in for pets. He’s food-motivated and eager to engage, which will be a huge asset as he continues learning and building new skills. While he can be a bit restless in his kennel (he’s ready to get out and explore!), he settles once given the chance to decompress and stretch his legs. He’s still working on his leash manners and can pull or get a bit distracted on walks, especially in new environments. With consistency, structure, and continued training, he’ll make great progress. In playgroups, he’s shown interest in other dogs and may need guidance with boundaries, but he responds well and is continuing to learn appropriate social skills. Scallywag is a young, active dog who will thrive with an adopter ready to provide structure, patience, and outlets for his energy. With time and support, this resilient boy will grow into an incredible companion!
