Scout
Meet Scout! This 1-year-old, 18lb Jack Russell mix is a smart, active little guy who's always ready for his next adventure. Scout thrives when he has both physical exercise and mental enrichment to keep him engaged. Scout is incredibly food motivated and has already completed a training program where he learned several foundational skills, including sit, shake, place, and stay! He loves learning new things and enjoys working alongside his people, making him a wonderful fit for adopters who enjoy training. When it comes to fun, Scout is all in! He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and has become best buddies with his foster's resident pup. Whether they're wrestling, chasing each other around the yard, or simply hanging out together, Scout is happiest with a doggy friend by his side! Scout is still working on potty training and is making progress with a consistent routine, positive reinforcement, and frequent trips outside. He's also familiar with using potty pads as he continues learning. Like many young, active dogs, he'll thrive with adopters who are committed to providing structure, supervision, and continued training. Because of his active personality and need for boundaries, Scout would do best in a home without cats or very young children. If you're looking for an affectionate, spunky little adventure buddy, Scout is ready for fun!
