Meet Silver! This 1.5-year-old, 52lb Husky mix is a bright, energetic girl who’s ready to find her perfect adventure partner. True to her roots, Silver is active, playful, and always eager to explore. Her favorite part of the day is getting outside for long walks, yard time, or simply soaking up the world around her. Silver is incredibly smart and very people-oriented. She loves being involved in whatever her humans are doing and thrives on attention and interaction. She knows commands like down, stay, paw, and treat, and continues to show how quickly she picks up training when consistency is in place. She is very food motivated and overall very eager to please. In foster care, Silver has settled in well and does great in the home. She is fully house trained and excellent in her crate at night, resting calmly and comfortably. She may take a little time to settle during the day when left alone, but improves with structure and routine. She is also very affectionate in her own way, while not a constant cuddler, she loves being nearby and will happily hop up to be close to her people. Silver is high energy and will thrive in an active home that can provide intentional daily exercise. She loves being outside, whether running in a yard or relaxing on a screened-in porch, and benefits from multiple outlets throughout the day. She is still working on leash manners and jumping, and continues to make progress with training and guidance. She has shown interest in other dogs and would do best with a similarly energetic playmate if placed in a multi-dog home. Due to her energy level and jumping, a home without small children is recommended until she masters her manners. With her intelligence, enthusiasm, and loving personality, Silver is a fun, loyal, and adventurous girl who is ready to thrive with an active adopter who can keep up with her zest for life!
