Meet Sweetie! This 3-year-old, 52lb mixed breed girlie truly lives up to her name. With her gentle personality, medium energy level, and affectionate nature, Sweetie is happiest when she's close to her people. Sweetie is an excellent house guest who listens well, follows the rules, and has settled beautifully into her foster home. She loves to cuddle, enjoys spending time with her people, and is especially attached to her foster family. She's also a great listener and is learning that her humans occasionally need a little personal space (she just loves snuggles)! Sweetie is wonderful with visitors and happily greets new people by politely asking for pets. She rarely barks and doesn't rush the door when guests arrive. She's also doing great on leash and enjoys getting out for walks with her people. While Sweetie is comfortable settling in her crate when her foster is home, being left alone is still a work in progress. She can be anxious sometimes when she's home alone, so she'll need a family who is patient and willing to continue helping her feel more comfortable with alone and crate time. Sweetie is heartworm-positive and is currently undergoing treatment, which is fully covered by the 15/10 Foundation, and she's expected to make a full recovery! Sweetie is truly a loving, well-mannered, affectionate girl who just wants to be part of a family.
