Meet Tater! This 7-month-old mixed breed puppy is a truly special little guy with a resilient spirit and so much love to give. Born with a rare congenital condition affecting his front legs, Tater gets around in his own unique way, scooting and “army crawling," and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. He’s not in pain and lives a happy, engaged life, especially when he’s surrounded by people and other dogs. Tater is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves being close to his humans, whether that’s cuddling on the couch, relaxing in bed, or soaking up attention. He also enjoys playing with other dogs, especially calm, respectful companions who understand his limitations. He’s great with kids, too, though all interactions should be supervised to ensure gentle play. Because of his mobility needs, Tater requires a home that can provide a safe, supportive environment. Soft surfaces like carpet or rugs help him move around comfortably, and he currently uses a pack-and-play setup when unsupervised. He is still working on potty training and currently uses potty pads. Tater will eventually receive a custom mobility cart (covered by Wags & Walks), which will open up even more opportunities for movement and enrichment. He also loves spending time outside in the grass and exploring the world in his own way! Tater is looking for a patient, compassionate home ready to support his needs and celebrate everything that makes him special. In return, he’ll give his forever family endless love.
