Toaster
Meet Toaster! This 9-year-old, 33lb Beagle mix is a sweet, happy boy who is ready to enjoy the cozy, carefree life he deserves. Toaster came into our care from a large-scale hoarding situation, and he’s been settling into foster care beautifully. While he can be timid with new people or unfamiliar situations, he blossoms with time and patience, becoming more curious, confident, and playful as he gets comfortable. Once Toaster feels at home, his silly little personality really comes out! He loves exploring his surroundings, sniffing around outside, and getting plenty of affection from his people. He’s also a big fan of cozy sleeping spots and spends much of his day lounging around the house. Toaster is a low-energy guy who enjoys several leisurely walks throughout the day before happily settling in for a nap. He’ll occasionally entertain himself with a toy, too! Toaster is wonderful with other dogs and has been peacefully sharing his foster home with a calm canine companion. The two mostly spend their days lounging together, and Toaster is also excited to meet other dogs. He may especially enjoy having another dog around to help him feel more comfortable and confident. Toaster has made a lot of progress with his separation anxiety. He no longer barks or cries when left alone and is not destructive when given freedom in the home. He may pace and have some trouble fully relaxing while his person is away, but he’s learning that being alone is okay. He is still not fully comfortable being crated, so his adopter will need to continue working patiently on crate training and help him build confidence at his own pace. Toaster is fully potty trained and is an overall easygoing houseguest. He can be sensitive to loud noises like yelling, so a quieter home with older children may be the best fit for him. Most importantly, Toaster is a loyal, loving boy who just needs time to feel safe enough to show you his wonderful personality.
