Meet Willy! This 2-year-old, 60lb Hound mix is a goofy, affectionate boy who absolutely loves his people. Willy is the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side, soaking up as much love and attention as possible. When his foster comes home, he gets so excited that he leans right into them and happily “hops” around until he gets his hugs and kisses! Willy is also a playful guy who loves his toys, especially stuffed animals. He’ll toss them up in the air and even catch them himself! He’s also a big fan of walkies and gets incredibly excited when he sees his leash come out. Willy absolutely loves other dogs and adores his canine foster sister! He loves to play and looks to her for cues as he continues learning good doggy manners. He has also coexisted well with cats, although he sometimes thinks they’d like to play as much as he does! Willy is almost fully potty trained and is continuing to make quick progress. He’s also learning that his crate is a safe place to relax; after brief initial protest, he settles and sleeps through the night, and he’s even started going into his crate on his own for daytime naps! Willy is heartworm-positive and is currently undergoing treatment. This treatment is covered by the 15/10 Foundation, and Willy is expected to make a full recovery!
