Zephyr
Meet Zephyr! This 2-year-old, 68lb Golden Retriever is a goofy, high-energy boy with a huge personality, endless enthusiasm, and absolutely no concept of personal space. Zephyr approaches life at full speed and is very much an “all gas, no brakes” kind of dog, always ready for fun, whether that’s chasing toys, splashing in water, playing fetch, or soaking up attention from his people. Zephyr is incredibly social and affectionate, greeting everyone with full-body wiggles, excited energy, and lots of enthusiasm. He loves toys more than just about anything and is happiest when he has something to carry, chase, or play tug with. He already knows “sit” and does well redirecting his excitement into games and structure when given clear boundaries and guidance. Like many young, energetic dogs, Zephyr is still learning manners. He can be jumpy when overstimulated or excited, so he’ll thrive with an active adopter committed to continued training, consistency, and helping him learn appropriate boundaries. Because of his rambunctious play style and size, he will likely do best in a home without young or small children. Zephyr has shown playful interest in other dogs, though his energetic play style can be overwhelming for some pups. He will need a home without other male dogs, and thoughtful introductions and management with other dogs will be important. At his core, Zephyr is a happy, loving, goofy dog who just wants to play hard, love hard, and fully enjoy life!
