This 7-year-old, 38-lb mixed breed is a resilient, affectionate boy with so much love to give. Beans was rescued from a heartbreaking situation after being found severely malnourished alongside 11 other dogs in Baja California. While the others found placement, Beans was left behind simply because of his breed. Despite everything he’s been through, Beans has the sweetest spirit. His tail never stops wagging, and he greets everyone he meets with happy energy and plenty of kisses. He will even rest his head on your arm or lap as his way of saying hello. Since coming into our care, Beans has gained weight and continues to grow stronger every day. As he’s begun to feel better, his playful, silly side has started to shine through. He is learning to play fetch in his foster home and getting to experience what it feels like to be properly cared for. Beans loves sunbathing outside and going for neighborhood strolls. This sweet, laid-back boy is fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. We expect he will do well in a variety of households, especially with adopters who have experience with larger dogs.
