This 2-year-old, 29-lb gal is a soulful sweetheart with lots of love to give. When we rescued Babette from an overcrowded shelter, we couldn’t tell if she was shy and shut down or not feeling well. Once we got back to our adoption center, we learned that she had developed Pyometra, a severe, life-threatening uterine infection that required emergency surgery. Thankfully, we were able to get her the emergency care she needed, and she is healing beautifully in a loving foster home and will make a full recovery. This social girl loves to meet people and will eagerly ask for pets and cuddles from everyone within a 30-foot radius. She is a professional napper who sleeps like a log but still plays like a champ when the mood strikes. Babette is fully potty-trained and walks beautifully on a leash. She needs to be the only pet in her forever home and will thrive with loving adopters who will give her plenty of encouragement as she adjusts and as many cuddles as she wants.
