This 1-year-old, 50-lb Doberman is a playful ball of energy. Cher and her siblings were found as strays on the streets of Bakersfield, CA. They were covered in Demodex mange, a debilitating skin infection, and extremely malnourished. When they arrived at the shelter, they were scheduled to be euthanized. We got to them just before their deadline. When we got them back to our adoption center, we realized that they knew a handful of basic commands. It became clear that these girls had lived in someone’s home, but neglect and abandonment had left them in heartbreaking condition. Thankfully, they are now safely in our care and getting the help they need, and Cher is ready to find a loving home. This fun, affectionate girl loves to play and gets along with other dogs. She is a ball of youthful energy and enjoys sniffing around on walks and getting her wiggles out in the yard. Cher is a smart pup who is fully potty-trained, knows several commands, and is working diligently on her leash manners. She will thrive with adopters who are experienced with large breeds and will provide her with structure and consistency as she continues to grow up.
